He, along with Beebe and many other conference commissioners, already realize how insignificant they really are when compared to the new football commissioner, ESPN. What we have witnessed over this last summer are a bunch of over-hyped football 'teamster' trying to maintain control of the college football landscape. It's over for them.



Dave Brown of ESPN is our new commissioner. Craig Thompson finally admits publicly that he is irrelevant.

Hair brought up something I don't know if anybody has thought about, I know it never crossed my mind. It has to do with officiating, when BYU goes Indy they will never have a friendly officiating crew, I guess it will always be from the opponents conference. How will that work?



I know some of you will say BYU has never had a friendly officiating crew but that's a different topic.

Not necessarily true. I wouldn't be surprised to see BYU hire a CUSA officiating crew for their game at Texas. Just because we don't have a conference doesn't mean we can't bring our own officials. It just means we have to foot the bill, which isn't much of a price to pay considering we were paying dues to the MWC for them to provide officials in the past.

I was wondering if something like that would happen. Is that what the other Indys do? I wonder how many games are played with the opponents crew and with the "bought" crew.
