Scheduling trouble?

Are we going to have trouble scheduling teams? An interesting article from SDSU has me wondering how many teams feel the same way. And by the way, I am tired of the mission being an advantage for BYU.

That's just fine. hoke can keep loosing 10 games a year and BYU will keep winning 10 or more. C-ya sore loser.



EDIT: I love how we are starting to see the MWC's true colors now.

Double edit: Why didn't he mention utah not being scheduled (or their RMs) or is there a double standard here? Or, I suspect, it could be that no one really cares that utah left?

The thing about this article is SDSU is absolutely pathetic. I went to a BYU-SDSU game in San Diego a few years ago and BYU fans outnumbered SDSU fans at least 2-1 if not 3-1. BYU is the ONLY game SDSU even comes close to selling out. So Hoke can run his mouth all he wants about not wanting to play BYU anymore but I can guarantee you that the AD is thinking the exact opposite because in the end money talks.



Besides Holmoe made it sound like yesterday that teams were calling him left and right about scheduling games so I really don't think it will be an issue at all.



These next 2 years will be trouble because a lot of teams are already full but after that I think it will be a lot smoother sailing.

SDSU is one of the worst football teams in the universe. Wyoming too. BYU would be better off playing the dregs of C-USA and / or the WAC for the next two years than continuing to scrimmage against the SDSU high school team.

Maybe we should have stayed in the conference an extra year until we had a schedule for 2012.

BYU avoided a huge exit fee by getting out NOW, as far as I understand.

Whatever schedule we come up with as an independent can't be any softer then the schedules we have in the MWC.

SDSU, UNLV, New Mexico, CSU, Wyoming...I mean think about it

math clearly not the reporter's strong suit (or he's drinking the mission-is-a-clear-advantage kool-aid).

BYU players often go on two-year Mormon missions, come back and play as 24-year-olds. Most college players are ages 18-22.

To come back and play as a 24 year old happens... however, this article conveniently leaves out the fact that to play as a 24 year old, the player leaves the program as a 19-year old, returns as a 21-year old and spends 2 years getting back into playing shape.



granted, the comment is based in ingnorance, but c'mon! :sick: the quality of the reporting is horrific. :sick:



Maybe this year BYU should lament the fact that all the 21 and 22-year olds from other schools are playing against our 18-year olds. :roll:
