BYU TV may be in 55 million households, but how many of them realize it is there?

Just because something is there doesn't mean that you look at it. What marketing technique will BYU use to get those existing subscribers to switch the channel to BYU TV for a ball game?

Most BYU fans know where to tune. Fans of opposing teams will be looking around for where they can watch, and will discover the channel. Who knows - they may even leave it on occasionally. That's part of the reason for showing sports on BYU-TV - to get viewers to watch the rest of the content.

So BYU will be passive and wait years until the football team plays 50 different teams across the country and hope it works somehow?

I would hope that some where, some how BYU is putting ads like, "Remember that team that beat Oklahoma the first game of the season? As a Direct TV subscriber, you can watch their next game [DATE] [TIME]."
