If something like this were to happen, could the Cougars accept a big-12 invitation for football only, maintaining their WCC affiliation for other sports? That would resolve the Sunday-play issue, since College Football is generally not played on Sunday, and it's the other sports where this would cause a problem. It would also allow BYU to keep any commitments it's made to the WCC.

No way, not unless it was a cnodition upon the offer of entry. byu basketball recruiting .....etc would be so much better if they were in the big12. can't pass that up. you can though if the big12 says you can come but only in football.
