Anyone going to FSU?

I recently moved to Florida, about 2 hours from Tallahassee. So I decided to bite the bullett and buy a ticket to the FSU game.

Anyone else going?

Yep. I'll be in Alabama on USAF business so I'll be driving to Tallahassee for the weekend with my bro and a friend.

Yeah, I was a little worried about that too. I could have bought them through FSU and done will call but I want to sit with the rest of the BYU fans . BYU said they are doing 2 day Fedex though, so I should be fine.

We have a group of 15 coming from Georgia. Hope the cougs can handle the heat--it's nasty out here in the south right now. I think I'd rather go to elevation and play than come down to the humidity.

I appreciate that. I have already paid for my ticket though. No worries, since they were bought through BYU I have no doubt I will be surrounded by other fans.

Got my tickets today. We're in section 14 row 75. Guess I should have gotten my tickets with your group and I would have been lower to the field!

I've been looking for a good seating chart. I know where the sections are but how high do the rows go? I should have joined the Cougar Club, I'm sitting pretty high in row 75.

I have seen tickets for rows as high as 85 rows up. So 75 is near the top, but not at the top. If you look at the FSU seating chart, the away team gets seats from about the 30 to the end zone, from about rows 40 or so to the top. I hope BYU sold out its allotment because I want to sit with a lot of BYU fans in that game.

Section 16 Row 12 bought 4 tickets last March from a FSU season ticket holder on Stub Hub at face value. No doubt we'll be surrounded by FSU fans, but we'll be there in Cougar Blue.

I bought tickets through Cougar Club for a while, but I eventually gave up. Unless you have been in the Cougar Club forever and donate more than $5K per year, you get the worst seats in the house at a premium plus Cougar Club's add on fees. Just think about where we stick our visitors--NW corner and the top sections of the north endzone. None of those are good seats, but that's what visiting fans get when they buy through their school.



Now I just buy directly from the opposing team as soon as I decide to attend the game or as soon as tickets go on sale, and I've had good seats ever since. I don't sit amidst BYU fans usually, but I could care less about the people sitting around me as long as I have a decent view of what's going on on the field.

The premium add on was $5 over face value, which is the usual ticketing fee. So was not ripped by BYUticket office. Just know that the visiting fans typically do not get the best seats, although BYU gives decent seats to the opposing fans. Just not too many.

For UCLA a couple of years back, there was an additional $25 "program" fee added on--a mandatory donation to the football team if you wanted the Cougar Club's prime seats. The extra add ons might just be for their premium seats or premium games where demand is outrageous, but I'd rather make a straight up donation to the team and buy a ticket through the opponent than be forced to pay a "donation." Maybe it's my resistance to the welfare program shining through, but I despise "donations" that are anything but. No one is donating when they pay that--they are just buying a ticket.
