This is no suprise. We expect to beat them too. I would be more suprised to see an article talking about hw the Huskies have no chance against BYU.

That prediction is funny. Name the last time a PAC-0 team hung 38 on BYU(Crowton era, 2004)? Now name the last time UW scored 38 on the road? Now tell me Jake Locker's record as a starter overall and on the road. Methinks the UWC koolaid is being drunk heavily in Seattle. They are still 2 years away.

Or the altitude or the weather or the turf or the sun or the rotation of the earth was off. It's never that BYU beat a PAC team, it's always that the PAC team lost it.

I do. Have read The Patriot and The Apostle. Fun reads. Dude really likes Glenn Beck and really does not radical Islam.

It's an old Bedouin proverb. Truman Capote brought it to the states in "In Cold Blood" after hearing it in Tangiers. That would have made it relevant to Bruce M's generation.



Brad Thor writes Tom Clancy style books dealing with fundamentalist Islamic terrorists instead of the Reds, and I think he uses that phrase at least once per novel, so the saying is getting some new traction with a new generation. That's why I wondered.

I started a couple of weeks ago with his 1st novel, Lions of Lucerne and just worked my way through the series and will finish the Apostle tonight. I enjoy his books--he's a bit heavy handed at times (describing tactical gear as if he's trying to sell it to me instead of making it flow with the story, using profanity without any tact, etc.), but he's much improved from the first novel, and I'm glad he dropped some of the subplots he was developing through the first few novels. It's also been interesting to see how he has changed in his treatment of Islam. Started out pretty neutral, but the last few have been flat out ripping moderate Islam for doing nothing while the radicals send the world off-kilter.



Fun books--I recommend you start at #1 and read through them all for character development, but if you don't want to read that many, just pick up the Last Patriot and the Apostle and his newest---I'm waiting for that to hit paperback.

I'm not worthy.
