What about USU?

I am in no way a USU fan, but was extremely impressed with how they stayed loyal and have proven to be a stand up institution. However, what is going to happen to them? Are they staying in the WAC? I think an independant BYU would be wise to keep scheduling them...good for in-state rivalry and pretty much an easy win on the schedule. I just feel bad for them if they did have an opportunity to go to the MWC and BYU screwed it up. I honesty think they knew the risks and stuck by their guns. I just hope it turns out well for them.

USU will be an annual team on the BYU schedule and an annual ESPN game. Willing to go out on a limb here. but I imagine we will play them on a Friday night every year the weekend of conference. ESPN would love that game on a Friday night annually. Probably part of the TV contract terms.

They're flat-out skrewed.

I wouldn't be surprised if the WAC actually survives. They have a couple years to find two more teams to add to the conference.

Especially since comcast is going to want to redo their contract with the MWC. If they negotiate downward so much that it isn't worth the WAC teams jumping, you may see the tide turn in favor of the WAC. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out once the new contract is renegotiated. We will find out just how much BYU meant to the MWC.

holmoe said as much in the presser. espn and on friday nights.

Probably get an invite to MWC since the MTN lost all of Utah.

This would not surprise me, but at the same time, I don't know if the MWC will want them. I sincerely wish them the best.

Coach Mendenhall loves that USU Friday game, they stay on the schedule.
