Ready for more games at LES?

Now that the Indy topic is verified we should expect more home games because of it. I could see at least 7 home games and perhaps 8. As a BYU fan that is great, even though the cost to the season tickets will be more because of more games to attend but I am more than willing to pay it to see more BYU games.



The other Indy schools home games

2010 ND plays 9, Army 7 and Navy 7

2009 ND 8, Army 7, Navy 7

2008 ND 6, Army 7, Navy 7

2007 ND 7, Army 5, Navy 7

2006 ND 7, Army 5, Navy 7



So based on this we can expect a minimum of 7 home games, if both Army and Navy can do it then certainly BYU could or should do it.

I think we should go for 8, especially in years we go to Hawaii. Most major programs only play 4 true road games (or less). Texas plays 7 home games, 2 "neutral" site games in Dallas and Houston, and 3 road games (@ Nebraska, @ K State, and @ Texas Tech). Now that should be a model for BYU.



Also BYU needs to do 2 for 1 schedules with WAC and MWC schools. Maybe 3 for 1 for NM St, Idaho, Wyoming, NM, and SJSU and the like.

I would talk to the Commish of the Sunbelt and MAC. Send your best team to LES to play us each year. You'll probalby get on ESPN, your SOS will improve and you'll get a shot to show if you are any good or not. That takes us from 6 to 8 games each year. Navy gets 7 by using FSB teams. We don't want to do that. We want real games. Doing this, this year we could have gotten Middle Tenn, Temple, or N Illinois.

Give me 8 home games when we play at Hawaii. Alternate Utah and Utah State so that we don't play both of them at home or on the road in the same year. That gives us 9 games without leaving Utah. Does playing at UNLV count as a home game?
