YNotColorado has indicated that it will remain in the Big XII through the 2011 season.

This is total speculation, but is the Big 12 going to have 11 teams for one year? Perhaps.
Or, they could add BYU right away and leave the Big 12 at 12 teams for the 2011 season (BYU simply replacing Nebraska in the North division) and could still stage a championship game. (I like BYU's chances in the North division in 2011... )
This would allow the Big 12 to continue to stage its lucrative championship game and smooth over potential scheduling issues. It gives the Big 12 an additional year or so to decide with whom to replace Colorado in 2012.
And, BYU could pursue its own television deals while also dovetailing off of the Big 12's likelihood of having at least a couple of games on ESPN and ABC, the lucrative and more prestigious bowl tie-ins, BCS money, etc.
