List- Most Favorite to Least Favorite Sports Opinionists

Gordon Monson may be worthless, but worse than Todd Christensen? Monson doesn't do absolutely AWFUL color commentary on BYU games. I can avoid Monson. I'm stuck with Todd. I don't live in range of KSL, so I can't mute the TV and turn on Wrubell. I am forced to listen to Todd freaking Christensen. Every game he works, I end up yelling "Shut up, Todd!" I would rather listen to those idiotic yewt homers that used to do their games on KJZZ than Todd Christensen. I'd rather have Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber announce the game than Todd Christensen. With Spongebob Squarepants as the on-field analyst.



Yes, he is THAT bad.

Hate to admit it, but my favorite personality on 1280 is Kyle Gunther. Sure he played on the wrong side and is still kind of a homer, but he is pretty dang funny. He is definitely carrying Jan Jorgensen right now.

You had me laughing out loud! I agree 100%. Whenever Todd doubts BYU's decisions it gives me hope because he's NEVER right.

I will list 1 Sports Writer - my "Least Favorite." To say he is my "Least Favorite" does not fully explain how much I despise this arrogant P.O.S x 2. He is in a class by himself for arrogance, back stabber, turn coat & wasted space. What garbage.

I like your list, you nailed Greg Wrubell. I don't think there has been a better reporter/radio guy ever, and that's saying a lot.



I would trade Dick Harmon with Darnell Dickson, and maybe trade Jan and Hans. Other than that though I agree.

Stephen A. Smith should be at the bottom of the list. For such a racist misogynist I have a hard time believing he's as well respected as he is.

While not opinionists, can I nominate both Tom Kirkland and Kathy Aiken as the worst sports broadcasters/reporters in the market. Other than Wrubell, KSL's sports team is garbage.

Wrubell is by far the best. I love his interesting stats that he always comes up with for BYU. "BYU has never lost when playing under a full moon at low elevations" type stuff. I think it's pretty cool.



Monson is a tool. He knows what it takes to get people to read his column or listen to his show and that is bad-mouthing BYU. The best way to draw attention to yourself is by saying something negative about the most popular item in the market. I can't stand him. I loved it when Boylen ate him up last season. "Nice of you to show up." Loved it!



KSL Radio needs to come out with a daily sports program with Wrubell. I would listen to it daily.

Agree, but you forgot the entire fox 13 sports crew...makes Tom and Kathy tolerable.



I like the PTI guys just for the entertainment factor.

After his hatchet job on Jimmer and his ignorant column in the past on returned missionary athletes, Rick Reilly has got to be at the bottom of the list for me. He gives dirt a bad name. My only consolation is that the wrote that if Jimmer started a game next season, he'd donate something like $5,000 to some charity. That will be sweet to see, because Jimmer will start at least one game next year, assuming there is a season....

Wruebel hands down he always has great insight and unique well thought out facts and stats that are interesting.He is by far my favorite no one else comes close. I have also enjoyed Alema Harrington when he talks BYU Football mostly because he can share some pretty funny stories from his playing days.
