This guy is a bonehead obviously but i thought i would at least post it for those interested.



I still don't by the byu to mwc crap coming out of everywhere right now. Don't buy it for a minute. not unless we get our rights to home games.

Yeah, that guy is an utter moron. You don't have "emergency meetings" to announce that BYU is doing nothing.

This guy sounds like he's making some big guesses. I'd be surprised to see BYU go back to the MWC. But the MWC would literally fold without BYU. So It's possible I guess that the MWC does what it takes to keep the king of the mountain around.

Let's all remember that the MTN Network is separate ownership and management from the MWC. Business partners, yes, but with varied needs and goals. The MWC may be completely down with doing what BYU wants, but it the MTN will not play ball, it seals the deal. And if the MTN does not deal, it could harm their own interests as well as relations with the MWC. This will get political. The MTN has a long term interest in keeping the MWC happy, or it could get dumped at the next TV deal.

Good point. I've been sittin around all day waiting for the first move to be made. I guess we'll all find out soon enough. Should be good entertainment anyway, as I think BYU is in the drivers seat for the moment.

I like the idea of the MWC on bended knee in the Y's behalf, rather than the usual position of holding us over a barrel.

I think the MTN Network is more in favor of BYU sticking around than the Conference. I think the Conference's attitude is that BYU would be great, but it's not a necessity. In fact, there's quite a bit of "we'll show you" attitude among the Conference and school officials.



The MTN Network, on the other hand, is probably putting mighty pressure on the MWC to do what it can to at least allow the MTN to televise BYU's away games.
