Max Hall practices with 2nd team

I'd be happy for Max if he made the practice roster. The man deserves a payday after what he did for us. Anything more than that would be gravy but it's nice to see he's got a little ice in his veins.



So far, you might have to say that Max has had more actual success behind center than Beck, simply based on his solid play last week; I can't recall John having any success thus far in pre or regular season (of course he hasn't had any help from his o-lines in miami or the 3rd string of Washington)



John wins in one important category; he's already a millionaire.

Beck had one good preseason game in Miami, got the TD and ran in the 2 pt conversion for the win IIRC.

The source expects the Cardinals to proceed as is at quarterback, and the team also is pleased with how rookie Max Hall is progressing. Hall recently has taken snaps with the second team and could see game action by 2011. In the meantime, veterans Leinart and Anderson will compete for the starting job.

This combined with Chris Mortensen's Max Hall-Kurt Warner tweet indicates someone in the Cards organization thinks Hall has potential to be a starter.

I'm hopeful that the Cards are finally figuring out that Lienart isn't worth his weight in horse manure and that Max will step in once the determine that Anderson is too old (give it 1-2 years).

I actually remember seeing Beck play really well in a preseason game last year for the Ravens. I just looked up what his actual stats were.



16/28 232 yds 2tds 0int. So I guess Beck can keep his title as most successful BYU QB currently in the NFL, but it sounds like Hall is putting up a good fight to eventually claim that title.

Here's a link to the highlights of that game. I know it's history now and the Ravens ended up going to Troy Smith as the Backup, but it's always nice to see former cougars playing well.
