What is fewest number of games BYU will win?



Regardless of who starts at QB and for how many plays, I don't see us winning fewer the 7 games.

We WILL NOT lose the ANY of the following games:



Washington

AFA

Nevada

Wyoming

CSU

SDSU

USU

UNLV

UNM

Bowl game



We could potentially lose to:



TCU

FSU

Yewtah



But the only definitive loss of those IMO is:



TCU



I like our chances against FSU and I really think we'll beat Yewtah

What about Washington.



I always keep hope but I would be happy and expect 7 to 8 wins this year. We have a two qb system right now which is never a good sign and are full of newbies that will be good but will need some time adjusting. I just don't see us winning anymore games then that. It is possible, yes, more than possible, but likely, I would say no. Be interesting to see how the team develops. I would imagine by the end of the year we will have a real shot at beating the hicks up north. If there was a year that our going perfect agaisnt all other mwc teams except utah and byu, this would be that year.

Rather than say games are guaranteed wins or losses how about strong loss possibilities? I say there are only 5:



UW

FSU

AFA

TCU

Utah



With winning a bowl game and winning at least two of the listed games I think we finish no worse than 8 wins and I'd be o.k. with that (especially if we beat Utah)

I'll take an 8 win season this year and call it a success; simply becauxse we're rebuilding everything but the o-line and secondary. (I wish we could bring our entire secondary back for next season, we'd be sick)

Thanks for showing the math for those who needed it.



This year, with amount of youth we have and the number of unsettled positions we're still dealing with, I have a harder time expecting to be able to pull games out like we have in the past. It makes me less likely to pick us in the 50/50 games, and concerned we might drop a game we shouldn't. Fortunately, we haven't had to deal with that for years, and I don't want to have that this year.

We play at Air Force, way early in the season with a relatively inexperienced team. That's how - Air Force is a quality program.

Given the fact that BYU has absolutely OWNED Air Force under Coach Mendenhall, here's another reason no BYU fan should consider that AFA is a scary game:

Ouch. You really have to know what you're doing as a o-line unit if you're running the option, and know how to do it VERY well if you're giving up a lot in size to the d-line you're blocking. VERY good news for BYU.
