What are you talking about? The WAC has six teams that still remain. BYU would be a part in other sports, the NCAA basketball auto-bid would still be on the table, and football wouldn't matter because we'd be independent.

I'm assuming that he meant that BSU would stay in the WAC, instead of going through with their conference switch to the MWC.

And an ESPN article has claimed that Hawaii is looking into the possibility of going independent. That is not an official announcement from Hawaii that they are leaving the WAC and going independent.

I'd be surprised to see this happen, but it definitely wouldn't surprise me if ESPN were considering something along these lines.
