GunkAnyone else find it ironic that the MWC is basically turning back into the WAC; the very same conference 8 teams tried to get away from over a decade ago? :roll:

MingjaiIt's still a stretch. The "new" MWC only resembles the WAC-16 because the 8 founding members were WAC-16 team. I'd see it when the MWC goes crazy and expands to 14 teams by inviting UTEP, SMU, and Tulsa.
Of the 8 WAC teams that the original MWC 8 tried to get away from in 1999, only 2 are in the "new" MWC:
TCU
Fresno State
Neither Boise State nor Nevada were a part of the WAC-16.
The remaining 6 that the get left by the MWC were:
Hawaii
UTEP
Tulsa
San Jose State
Rice
SMU
