12th MWC team

If we get our TV concessions and stay in the MWC, who do you want to see added to the league for the 12th team?



I'd love to see Hawaii. Especially if they are in our division so we are guaranteed a 13th game every other year. The 13th game is the deciding factor for me. The more BYU games the better. Also hopefully the economy turns around and I am making the trip to Hawaii every other year too!



From a competition standpoint I'd be happy with Houston. Also it is nice to get into Texas more.



Utah State would be okay because it would be helpful to them and maybe ten years from now they are competitive...As long as we don't start competing with them for recruits.

Dennis Dodd over at CBSsportline is reporting that the 12th will be Houston--but only if BYU stays. If BYU does not stay, Houston does not want in. I think that sums up what teams think about this move ouyside the MWC. BYU is the deal. Period. The rest are nice, but not worth joining, unless they are desperate like Fresno and Nevada.



Every angle you approach this, BYU holds the cards, has the leverage and the strength to call the shots. And sounds as if they are.

Houston makes the most sense from a competitiveness standpoint. Hawaii from a scheduling standpoint as Wick pointed out. But I chose USU. Why? Because i think we owe it to them. They tried to pave the way for us to go indy with the WAC agreement. And they got hosed because of it. If we agree to go back to the MWC, it should be on the condition that USU is the 12th team. ANd plus, it'll help in BBall.

We don't owe USU jack, they owed us and they paid it off. We need to bring in GOOD teams that will help us make a GOOD case for BCS eligibility.
