Interesting idea. Look at the BCS formula, crunch the numbers with the teams in the wac and mwc and then create a whole new conference with those teams whose records give you the best shot at a aq status. you could drop the new mexicos and lousiani tech's of the world and put the good teams all together. Wonder if that would even help to be honest. I wonder if the third category would still be lacking.



Then there is the dilemma for tv where some of the better markets are with the crappier schools and some of hte better basketball teams are horrible at football (unlv, new mexico, utah state).

NO way this happens, not unless they get auto inclusion for NCAA and BCS in 2 years. Usually, takes several years for that to happen. But if it would happen, who would the top 9 be?

That dumps Wyoming, UNM and CSU to the WAC. And I could go for that right now.

We could call it the Mountain Better Conference.

Can we call it something other than Mountain-something? I've been to San Diego, Dallas/FtWorth etc., and there aren't any mountains. Maybe we could call it the Mid-Major Conference just so no one thinks we care about the BcS cartel.

I say call it the Big Conference South so the anouncers and everyone can call it the BCS conference!
