IF BYU knew it was joining the Big 12 in say a year or two, would that be a reason to red shirt one or more of the fab frosh?

NO, we need to continure to play well and win games to insure we get the invite. Perhaps we need to play Texas close but not win. We don't want to upset them and have them take the ball and walk away.

Great players on the field lead to more great players in the recruiting pipeline. Any time you intentionally put a team on the field that isn't your best team, you forfeit a lot of heart/chip-on-the-shoulder/hunger whatever you want to call. Play every down of every game like it's your last.
