Strapped In For Another Roller Coaster Day

Wasn't yesterday great? So much happening so fast. It was intense. Moving from website to website. Trying to keep up on the latest rumor, fact, possibility. Staying up a little later than normal to see if anything else was posted somewhere. It was awesome.



Then an earlier-than-normal arrival at work just to get it started over again. I love Cougar Corner. I have read millions of posts (it seems) in the last 24 hours and I must say that it is fulfilling to get the ideas, attitudes, analysis, links, and just plain guesses from all of you who providing the fuel for this fire.



Keep it up! I'm strapped in and ready to roll: up, down, twisted, looped - whatever. Like Pres. Hinckley said, "The trick is to thank the Lord for the ride." So, no matter what happens today or tomorrow or whenever, hasn't the ride been great?

I don't know if I can do another day like yesterday...sheesh...

This stuff is killing me now. It's fun to watch but also frustrating waiting for more news. BYU has almost two weeks before they would be required to make anything official, if they are making a change at all. They could just never say anything at all.

NOt to leave out that this could become a possible distraction to the team. I admire BYU finally making noise and demanding change to the MWC or getting out; but it isnt the best timing. Just glad Bronco has for the most part--the plausible deniability part---totally ignored and remained "totally unaware" of this circus.

And it is a nice respite from wondering who our QB be will be.

My respite from the QB situation and those on this board who keep talking about checking out their packages, and I thought we were all adults here...well, I can't really say that since I'm only one occasionally when absolutely necessary..., but my 14 y/o is in his first high school scrimmage tomorrow, it's the freshmen against the JV, and it'll also be his first day in pads. He started school a week late and he has to practice for three days before putting on pads. He is really pumped about it.



Of course, there is the problem that the coach, an old friend of mine, has been telling the team about how great of a player my boy is and how he is going to kick them butts big time once he has those pads on. My boy, Steven, said that if he does an epic fail in the scrimmage tomorrow, his whole image in the new school is dead for the next four years. The coach and I just grinned and we both said, "Well Steven, you better not fail." Then some of the other players chimed in and said that they were going to be watching him tomorrow and they were going to remind him for the rest of the year if he shows any weakness, fear, and stupidity.
