QB Battle Day 10

Sorry I was able to post sooner, but our Brigade's Command Sergeant Major passed away over the weekend and I was attending his funeral. Good thing I didn't miss anything happening in cougardom today!



So here are the updated stats:



Day 10 Stats:

Heaps: 6-10-0-45, 1 Td, 130.80 rating, 60% complete. 2 rushes 20 yds. 3 TD drives.

Nelson: 10-14-0-90, 0 Tds, 125.43 rating, 71.4% complete, 1 rush, 1 yard , 1 TD. 1 TD drive



Fall Camp Stats:

Heaps: 66-119-2-753, 11 TDs, 135.76 rating, 55.5% complete, 15 TD drives, 1 FG drive.

Nelson: 60-98-1-703, 12 TDs, 159.85 rating, 61.2% complete, 15 TD drives, 4 FG drives.



I gave the passing and scoring edge to Heaps today. All tolled, through 10 days, the passing edge is a push with each winning 5. Nelson has won the scoring edge 4 times, Heaps 3 times and they tied 3 times.



Today was the first day since the first day of camp that Riley didn't pass for a TD. It was also Jake's first three-score day since the first day as well.

Heaps with two runs for twenty yards and Nelson with only one for one yard? Talk about a role reversal!

Thanks Kitic. Good stuff. Stats over time. You saw the big picture. Although another interesting stat would be to see--I know youre sick of reading this-- series against the 1's and 2's.

Probably not going to matter since both look get playing time and they are prepping Jake against college level speed, since Riley already has more.

Heaps running against the 1's? Hmmm. Doubt that. Riley with only one yard? maybe against the 1's? Of course the focus today was on the RB's.

From Wrubbel's blog, Jake ran for 13 on 3rd down against the twos. They finished the day with four plays from the 1-yard line. Heaps handed it off twice for TDs and Nelson was stopped once and scored once.
