Beck had a horrible game

i admit that i have not seen much but what i have seen has never looked good.



tonight he tripped three times on the lineman or runningbacks feet. it was embarassing. i felt bad for him. he wasn't getting very good protection but i think he may have only completed one pass or so. he didn't look good. i hope things work out for him and he can get comfortable enough to do well. i know he has only been with the skins fo rlike 10 days so you can't expect too much.



i remember thinking he soft mentally when he was at byu. he is very talented physically and a hard worker and very smart, but he lacked that intensity that max hall had. his crying sessions after games always bugged me to. i love what he did at byu but i didn't think he would make it in the nfl. hopefully i am wrong.



it was not pretty watching him. hope he makes the roster.

In his defense, the line was terrible and gave him very little time. The center even stepped on his foot and tripped him one play. Let's hope that he gets to see action in all the other preseason games to make up for this.

The problems I saw tonight were all about what you would expect from a guy in his second or third week with a team. He didn't know the progressions, so he was locking onto receivers, giving the defense a chance to bat the ball down, and he didn't know the protection schemes, which led to his feet getting stepped on when he didn't exit center properly.



It was ugly, but I can only hope that things get better. One of these days, he'll get to play behind an O-line that knows what it is doing. I don't think he's ever had a snap behind a decent Oline.

Sno is right. He's only been there for something like 9 practices. The trade was Aug. 2nd.

fortunately, few of the reviews I've read have talked about how terrible he was. Mostly it was how great mcNabb and GROSSman were.

This is great news for BYU and Heaps. Jake was tearing it up on Day 1 of spring and through most of fall camp.
