Jake Locker, a Really Sucky Kellen Moore

Accuracy is way underrated. It actually is something Riley is decent at but could be better.



Accuracy is why I would never take a QB like Pryor or Young or Locker. It's tough to teach. I think you can teach a guy like Riley who has decent accuracy and get him to good. I wouldn't be surprised to see Jake have two seasons at BYU where he completes 70%.

Forde is an idiot and his comparison is ludicrous. Moore had a better team around him and played a bunch of cup cakes.

Both Boise State and Washington played Oregon in 2008 and '09. Both also played Idaho in '09. Moore wins.



Boise went 3-0 against the Ducks and the Vandals. The Broncos outscored their opponents in those three games 119-65. Moore completed 66 of 88 passes for 882 yards and nine touchdowns, with one interception. His total offense: 858 yards.



Washington went 1-2. The Huskies were outscored 110-71. Locker completed 52 of 97 passes for 622 yards and four touchdowns, with two interceptions. His total offense: 681 yards.

Team sports prove to be problematic if you can't get the ball to your teammates. ;)



And I know Locker has gotten better with his accuracy, but I remember thinking in 2008, if Locker connects on just one deep ball, we lose that one. And he didn't.

I think Forde can be a bit sensational, and tends to be a big school guy, but I liked the way he approached thsi article. The NCAA is NOT the NFL. The best NFL prospect does not always make the best college QB. Kellen Moore reminds me a lot of Detmer, to be honest, except Moore has faster receivers and a better D than Ty had. Both are smaller guys that throw a good ball, and lead a team to wins. Locker is a physical specimen for sure, but is more of a Michael Vick, Daunte Culpepper and Tim Tebow type than a pocket guy like a Brees, Pennington or Rodgers. At the end of the day, it is about wins, too.

Isn't WA the BCS team? I thought BCS teams had all the studs and the non-BS teams got leftovers? So wouldn't that mean that WA has the better, faster, stronger athletes? And according to you BSU has the better team. Hmmmm. I need to let that one sink in.

Ahhhh darn it. Locker would have won the Heisman this year if he just had better players. After all, he does come from THe QB U. :whistle:

Tim Tebow is a poor mans Jake Locker.



Jake would have dominated college football if he played on a team stacked with talent like Tebow had at Florida.

Funny considering Tim Tebow never completed less than 64% of his passes in a given season and the best Locker has done is 58%

Getting back to the article.



I was begining to think he was reviewing Heaps and Nelson..... I couldn't help putting that into any thread that was talking about QB's. :D



I thought it was funny that they were quoting from the great source Mike Sanford, who's claim to fame is he was on Oscar Meyer's coaching staff. We all know how well he did at UNLV and how childish and unprofessional he was when he was HC there so that whole part of the article lost complete credit with me.
