Cougs in NFL Preseason games 8/12

Last night we had a few alums in action



Dennis Pitta-- no catches, played some, not sure if they ever even threw his direction.

Todd Watkins--one catch, 10 yards, 3 tackles for the Raiduhs.

David Nixon--three tackles for the Raiduhs.



That's all I saw. Feel free to add any of our boys I missed out on.

I'm very curious as to why Troy smith is even in the NFL. He's almost as bad of passer as Jamarcus

Pitta had a catch, but it was called back for a penalty, which he committed. Dude went out of bounds, then was first to touch the ball. In college, that is no penalty.

IN college, its not a penalty, but you still can't be the first one to touch the ball. No penalty yards are assessed, but you still lose the down and aren't awarded the yardage (unless they decide you were "forced" out of bounds)

The Redskins play tonight and they say that Beck should be getting around 50% of the snaps. I'm hoping he can make good on this opportunity in Washington and show some good stuff tonight.

The freaking horrible Bills defense is making Grossman look like an all-pro, hopefully they'll give Beck's receivers ten to fifteen yards as well.
