Great, not again

Seriously, can't we find someone who is better at pats then this guy. Maybe I am being to quick to judge and ignorant of his in game stats, but i never feel comfortable when payne is kicking a pat. He nearly single handedly lost us the ou game last year.


Not a great day for Mitch Payne; two missed field goals and a blocked PAT.

One was from 51 yards; the other was closer in on the hash. That's all I've read.

Well, I look at it that our kick rush might be good this year. Would love to see us get to some kicks this year. Always a nice momentum boost.

The only silver lining in Payne being such a poor kicker is that I think it causes us to go for it more on 4th down. I like our offense and I like our chances on a 4th & 2 from the 35.

It's a PAT. If it's from the hash, it should be automatic, with either foot.

Seriously there is nothing worse then kicking it out of bounds. When payne did that in the last minute of the ou game i wanted to kill him. I will forever hate him because of that kick even though it ended up okay.

Exactly! When you've got Max, Dennis, Unga and Tonga you shouldn't kick field goals. Who knows how things will go this year.

Exactly! When you've got Max, Dennis, Unga and Tonga you shouldn't kick field goals. Who knows how things will go this year.

I expect things to go pretty much the same as they have. We have the talent on the line. We have the scheme (3 of 5 years under Bronco have been 55% or better on 3rd). We have the talent on offense.

He's made 24, 26, and 30 yard attempts so far in practice.

So he's good once we're in the blue zone. But any time we're outside the blue zone, we should go for it!
