leading FSU receiver dismissed from team

FSU has now lost two starters over the summer. Our chances of leaving Florida with a win are getting better by the day. Go Cougs!

Luv it!!! It would be sensational to fly out of Florida w/ a "W"!!! No one expects it. Everyone knows it will be a smash mouth dog fight!!

I remember Fortson warming up last year before the whole team warms up. He looked rather cocky as he was shaking his head at the fans looking like he owned the field. He looked impressive physically and if I remember, he was tough to defend during the game. Of course we made everybody on that team look better than they actually are/were.

All I have to say about this is that my respect for Jimbo Fisher as a head coach is growing. This is the 2nd 2010 starter he has booted, and the 2nd that had NFL potential. The guy is not giving hand slaps to talent like Bowden did, and I respect that. Sounds like he is trying to build a culture there the right way, so props to him. Fortson has slated to be the #1 receiver for 2010, so this was no small thing.

This is good news.. I'll be there at doak walker stadium in person for the game and I'm hoping BYU doesn't lay an egg. This might help.

Unless of course, the receiver gets a waiver to play at Wyoming or something ridiculous.

FSU just lost 2 more guys with torn ACL's. One is a DT that plays and probably would have started, the other a RB fighting for time, but has played in the past.

I hope he does. We could really use the bottom dwellers doing better this year in terms of aq status.

did anyone hear the news last night about Flordia State losing two starting D-linemen now? I heard it last night on Petros and Money. Looks like Jimbo Fisher is going to have some challenges this year!! Good news for us though.

Now I'm just waiting for that big TE (#85?) to get booted. Man, he had his way with our secondary. Looked like men amongst boys.

Then...we can hope that Ponder is caught cheating right before the BYU game....unfortunately, I doubt there are any exams before September 18.... :(

Yeah, and FSU doesn't care about the other kind of cheating. Grrrr.

I would say A few more shoes yet to drop as Jimbo cleans things up. Hopefully not to injury, dont like that for anyone, but maybe Utah.
