NewTLC reality show: Real Utah Housewives and their husband

Yes it's a polygamy show and yes it's for real. They live in Utah and apparently the show revolves around the courtship of the husband for a fourth wife. Wow. At least it'll be better than that Tom Hanks HBO nonsense.

Polygamy makes me uber queasy. Queasy cause I'm only 100 years removed from a real possibility of being asked to do it and queasy cause I'm curious if I even could do it. Add that to the modern-day stigma that society places on it leads to a volatile churning of stomach fluids.



I for one, think this family is brilliant for doing this, to paint a better picture of their lives. If gay marriage is gaining traction, why not this?

Funniest thing I noticed about that site:

Total Male members: 81

Total Female members: 64

you know, it's funny... in our world today, many people don't have a problem with a guy sleeping around with a different girl every other night, but having an actual marriage/commitment to three or four women is attacked without mercy.

I think it's strange that as a society we've adjusted to gay marriage, but we still won't allow multiple heterosexual marriages.



If you're gonna allow gay marriage then you have to allow polygamy.
