Who Leads the Team in Tackles in 2010?

Andrew Rich, and they're going to be spectacular, bone-crushing, Sportscenter-highlights!

I'd like to see it be a ILB or a DL, personally - the less tackles by DBs, the less yards the bad guys are probably gaining.

I say whoever starts at MLB and since we don't know who that is, I picked "someone else"

Please remind us who led in tackles last year? Thats your clue.

Has to be between Rich or Pendleton this year. They will be the most assignment sound and as such have the most freedom to take some liberty to roam and/or position themselves. They also might be the quickest/most aggressive to the ball.

Wow everytime I see Andrew Rich, I'm reminded why I never made it into football. That guy has some chin! Not mocking, just realizing that even for a guy his size, sometimes its all about bone structure. NO wonder he often leads with his head. Tough hombre.

With the 3-4, the inside guys better lead in tackles or it means teams get to the edge. Hoping Kaveinga can play, and if he does, expect it to be him. IF he can not play, I like Ogletree or the other ILB.

I picked ogletree. I expect him to be a monster. watching him in special teams, he was getting tripled teamed by the other guys. He is one agressive guy who is not afraid to hit.

Historically, it's a linebacker, on most teams, and on most BYU teams. A defensive end can really only make a play that comes to his side, but inside linebackers can move to the play/ball, which is what linebackers do. And as someone else posted, if a secondary player is leading the team in tackles, it's not a good sign, and the other team is getting too much yardage.



But I just expect most teams on our schedule to throwing the football, so a secondary player could lead in tackling--if the DEs are not getting to the QB.

Probably Logan as teams will continue to take advantage of his height or lack there of thus forcing him to tackle more often

You mean "take advantage," like Colorado state who tried to pick on him and got picked off twice instead...
