Sep. 2: Utah vs. Pitt

I will be rooting so hard for Pitt it won't even be funny

I hate rooting for teams whose conference is a joke, like BSU and any Big East team. But I've always been in the "never cheer for Utah camp" unless a Utah win is needed for BYU to win the conference.



Kryle has proven to be a great gameplanner and I suspect they'll come up and execute something good enough to put Pitt down. Or, they may just put all their energy toward beating us, in which case I like Pitt's chances.



In the end, I'll be rooting for Pitt, though I see it as a win-win situation, regardless of the winner.

hate to say it but the utes SHOULD win this one going away.

It's at Rice Chex, but i don't think utah has an answer for Dion Lewis. Pitt will have no trouble running on the Ewe.

My grandpa played football at the U back in the late 30's. Started at FB for 3 years. Of course, he is dead now. So, screw Utah. I will act like one of their fans this year and cheer against them in every game. I see zero value in Utah ever winning a single game this year. Let them finish 5th in the MWC and then turn tail to he PAC-0 and see if they can swim.

Interesting concept that I hadn't thought of. To combat all the talk that the only reason Utah was invited to the Pac was because they were not BYU, Utah only worries about one thing this year: beat BYU. Thus, winning 2 games and forcing overtime again against BYU, but after missing a field goal off the upright, BYU wins when Quezada breaks 6 tackles on a 12 yard touchdown run.



I wouldn't put it past them.

Personally, I think the PAC-12 will be Utah's blind spot. Coach Whit may not be talking about it to the media, but Ute fans sure are, and you can guarantee that the coaches are talking about it to recruits. I think Utah will have one foot out the door all year mentally whether they want to or not, and in tight games, that lack of commitment will cost them in conference games. Especially since teams will be pumped to knock them off one last time. Can't wait to see how Utah responds to being the game everyone gets up for.
