It would be nice to see what the PAC-(how-many-ever) has done in the past 25 years in Provo. (Sorry, I'm too lazy/busy to gather those stats).

Admittedly, the UCLA game does seem to be a bit of an outlier as a data point. Lets hope the Udoobie Dogs come in as cocky and unprepared as UCLA.

I would think that Sark would not be as prone as Chow toward that kind of beat down.

BYU has averaged 103 yds rushing, 312 yards passing, 3 passing TDs, 23 first downs and converted 51.7% of 3rd downs. The PAC-10 teams have averaged 98 yards rushing 232 yards passing, 1passing TD, 17 first downs and converted 35.9% of third downs.



If you take away the road games, but count the LV Bowl the stats look like this:

Average score BYU 34 Pac-10 14. BYU has 118 yards rushing, 296 yards passing, 3 TDs (our passer rating also goes up nearly five points), 24 first downs and convert 52.2% of third downs. The PAC-10 is now: 102 yards rushing, 220 yards passing, 1 passing TD, 17 first downs and 36.7% of third downs.

There's a reason the Pac-10 wants their refs at their home games. They wouldn't make it out of the away stadium alive, the way they homer their schools.



This might be the youngest and most inexperienced BYU team in a long time, but we still have enough talent (and the best coaches) to beat UW at our place; and everyday the Huskies give us more fuel for that fire.

BYU lost 2 pac 10 games under Bronco due to cheating homer refs (anyone remember the phantom offensive pass interference call in AZ which took 6 pts off the scoreboard?), (Anyone remember Max Hall's fumble that flew forward, should have been incomplete pass?). The only reason BYU didn't get homered into another loss in WA was because Locker's celebration penalty was just so blatent. That game was replete with bogus holding calls against the cougars and non holding calls not called on Washington which allowed Locker to run all over our defense. Frankly, I like the Huskies and root for them in the Pac 10 but I wouldn't lose any sleep if BYU never played another Pac 10 team other then in the Las Vegas bowl.

That's the point. The game wasn't over. And UW still could have tied it on a very makeable extra point attempt. BYU just outplayed them everywhere but the scoreboard that day. But in the end we still had one more point them the Huskies which is all that matters.

I will NEVER forget how dumbfounded I was when I heard that call! Isn't EVERYTHING the offense does an 'attempt to decieve'? I thought that was the point in attack and counterattack. Show one thing, run another!
