So they did the photo shoot already. Where did you find the almanac? It's interesting it's just seniors, I don't think they've done that before, Bronco likes hard work from players that don't necessarily ever contribute on the game-field, but I'd still prefer to have some stars on it if I was buying.

Exactly. If Bronco likes those teams with no names, it shows for sure in this poster. No disrespect to Brian or Andrew, of course.

Last year's poster was just seniors.

This is my first post on this board. I have followed it for awhile now thought it was time for me to join in.

My home teaching companion works for the BYU's Athletic department and he told me that it is Bronco's policy that only seniors can be on the posters.

From a design standpoint, I find the poster a little drab... it's a combination of elements they've used in past years.

It's clearly the policy now. But it started last year. The 2008 poster featured the Juniors: Pitta, Jorgenson, Hall and Collie.

So these are our seniors--suggests to me that no matter how we do in 2010, 2011 will be sweet...

It's funny... They never used to charge for these posters before. And season ticket and allsports pass prices have gone up alot. But if that's what it takes to consistently build towards a top 10 program, keep our coaches at home, and eventually expand the stadium than I'm on board.



Holmoe talks about wanting 10 straight years of sell-outs before we expand the stadium but IMO if we are smart, we need to do it before the most recent few classes of recruits graduate so we can continue to build our recruiting advantage. I don't see it happening anytime soon but if BYU kind of dips back towards mediocrity we would lose all momentum towards stadium expansion. Also, BYU is kind of the "in" thing right now for LDS recruits but if we don't prove we can get to a BCS bowl and beyond in the next couple of years, we could become a second thought in a lot of the top LDS recruits minds again. That's why we have to strike while the iron is hot IMO. Plus, it would only help our cause in getting into a BCS conference in the next 2-5 years.

There $115 for rotating seats and I believe 160 in the west side.

3 Options: Non-Rotated, Rotated and without Football

There are three different ticket seating options available this year for Athletic Events - Reserved Football, Rotated Football and Non-Football. All of these options are based on availability.



1. The Non-Rotated Student Seat includes Football Reserved seat tickets (the same seat for all home games) and an All-Sport Card good for admission to all other BYU NCAA sanctioned home events. The Non-Rotated seats for football will be located in the lower sections behind the home football team (sections 31-37 L) and the sidelines (sections 31-32, 36-37). The Student price will be $160 and the Guest Pass will be $210. All fees are included in the price of the ticket. You will not be charged any additional fees on top of the $160/$210 price. All reserved seats will be allocated randomly. Different from last, year, date and time of purchase will not improve the quality of your seats. However, due to the limited number of seats available in these sections, members of a group who order tickets later than the rest of the reserved seat group, may not be able to purchase tickets in the Non-Rotated section.

2. The Rotated Student Seat includes Football Rotated assigned seat ticket and an All-Sport Card good for admission to all BYU NCAA sanctioned home events. The Rotated seats for football will be in lower sections in the end zone and in the upper sidelines (Sections 25-29, 41-45, 131-132, 136-137). The Student price will be $115 and the Guest Pass will be $150. All fees are included in the price of the ticket. You will not be charged any additional fees on top of the $115/$150 price. This pass will be an assigned rotated seat and students will be sent a different seat with their group for each home game.

3. The Non-Football Student All-Sport Pass will include admission to all BYU NCAA sanctioned home events, excluding football. The Student price for the Non-Football Student All-Sport Pass will be $65. Guest passes for the Non-Football pass will cost $90.

Not a big fan of the "We Are ________" schtick. I think the history of that phrase deserves a bit more respect than being casually adopted by marketing folks trying to push posters and t-shirts.

Funny you should say that, i told my wife that samething. I think we should leave that phrase to Marshall..Thats my humble opinion.

I was not aware that Marshall coined the "we are..." phrase. Do you have source to support that contention?

I just don't like the "We are... BYU". It feels stolen from Marshall which had a whole movie made about that one phrase. It's not BYU.

Marshall has used that saying for years and years. Iam pretty sure it was used before the Marshall plane crash too. You have 365 days to come up with a slogan and the best we got is ripe off of Marshall. I feel the University can be a little more creative than that.

Did "we are the world" rip off Marshall? How about "we are family"? That intro is pretty well used. I can see someone saying it's over used, but no that it was ripped off from any one source...



Obviously any phrase will not appeal to all, and I'm fine with others saying it doesn't work for them. It works for me though...

It is not unique to Marshall. Penn State has been using the phrase since the 1950's as well, and Marshall since the late 80's. Marshall didn't even do the chant back in te 70's after the plane crash.. So not as if Marshall was the original either.



Personally, I like it. But if you are going to borrow, get the source right. And it is Penn State.
