Malosi Teo Transferring to Hawai'i

Teo isn't a big name in Provo these days.

Te'o enrolled in BYU last year. But while redshirting, Te'o and his wife, Lauren, decided they missed their families. Lauren was raised in Laie.

"I did like it up there (in Provo)," Te'o said. "I had a good time. But I'm excited to be back home. This is where my wife and I originally wanted to be."

Some people love their upbringings, and that's all they know! If I lived in Hawaii all my life... Then experienced snow and cold crap for a couple years. I'd want to be back at home too!



I wish the best of luck to Malosi and his wife! This seems to be a legit reason to leave BYU, unlike the other Kahukus.

This doesn't make too much sense because he wasn't raised there. I went to jr. High and higschool with malosi, at American Fork. So he's more than used to what the state of Utah has to offer. He left 2 games into our senior season after he performed poorly and had somewhat of a breakdown and left to Hawaii to finish off his high school career. But malosi is a great guy and I wish him all the best but I hate to say it but I somewhat have been skeptical of him because besides the playoffs in Hawaii he hadn't done too much to prove himself at that level, but I guess he delivered for his team when it mattered most and when people were watching. But anyway I guess that's just how I feel about all of this.

It's too bad to see him go. Gotta keep the wife happy though!!! "Happy Wife - Happy Life!!!" They rule the roost & there ain't no doubt!!!

I think this has much more to do with being switched to linebacker. He doesn't want to play linebacker.

I wish him nothing but the best and hope he has a nice career at UH. Would love to renew that rivalry as well.



Personally, I think it is good for BYU that he decided to leave, and I do not care what his reasons are. He just freed up a schollie for Kaveinga for the next 2 years, and some other player for 2 years after that. And that is a good thing for BYU. This is a win-win.
