The Big 12 suffered some major losses in the summer of 2010. Losing powerhouse Nebraska and to a lesser extent, losing Colorado will really hurt the conference in the long run.

Now the Big 12 is Texas and Oklahoma, and then everyone else. The Big 12 is not irrelevant yet, but they are on their way to becoming nothing more than Conference USA, or worse.



They have the MWC #5. I don't know how they get PAC-xx #3 while predicting a down year this year.

Wrong wrong wrong, that's all I have to say. Texas and Oklahoma are far from irrelevant. Nebraska hasn't been anywhere near as good in a long long time. Also, OU and UT would finish in the top 2 or 3 in the pac-10 every year. Also, the MWC will always be ahead of the Big Least. I hate Pitt so much and West Virginia, just because they play in a weak A conference, I like to call it: wac-east. How does utah schedule such bad teams so much and get away with the 2 best conference teams at home? How about BYU stop scheduling national powerhouses and competitive teams and follow Utah's weak schedule of well-known teams that have awful programs.

Help me understand what the bleacherreport site is. Often it seems like a bunch of schmo's (no offense intended, schmoe) writing up their opinion, not any better perspective than the better posters on CB. Are they credible, by and large, or are they a huge grain of salt kind of site?

My impression is that they are hard core fans. maybe they write for their schools newspapers. I don't think they are journalist. I do like the new perspectives from outside CC.

It's more like a bunch of schmucks. I was asked to submit an article for them a couple of years ago. So I rest my case.

It's basically a combination wiki/blog for sports. There is very little reviewing of content; for a writer it's a half-step above setting up www.homer-for-my-U.blogspot.com

I think that Quinn Gooch and Brett Richins over at deepshadesofblue, along with Talo Stevens from Byu.Scout have all submitted content to that site. So take it as you will. And the fact is, there is no such thing as an expert in this matter. Just opinions with fact to support it or not. And much of the time, the fact is lacking and biases are showing.

There is a lot of material there. Lots of top 10 lists and so forth.
