The MWC has NEVER had a player who is going to and is garnering as much pre-season love as Jimmer is going to get. Bogut might have had he returned.



It'll be interesting to see if Jimmer starts getting more calls go his way because of this. Of course, knowing the MWC, it'll go the other way and unless he bleeds there'll be no whistle.

I like that this puts his name out there some more, but is there any college basketball fan in America who takes anything Dukie V says seriously?

Ute "fans" should. Jimmer will really want to beat them since he didn't play as well last time they met.

ESPN takes him very seriously. Imagine the bump BYU would get in the polls if Dick Vitale is going on all the ESPN shows (SportsCenter, Mike & Mike, Colin Cowherd) and saying, "I love Jimmer Fredette. The kid can flat out play. He's a baller, a superstar!"



BYU highlights would quickly become more frequent. We'd start getting mentions by Hubert Davis and Digger Phelps (well maybe not Digger). But many ESPN pundits take their cues from Dickie. Having Vitale on board can't do anything but help BYU.
