Deep Shades of Blue? Not Quinn Gooch's

About the only "fact" that has come out of Staffieri's ill-advised post on deepshadesofblue.com is the comment where Brett Richins steps in to clarify that he is now the owner and operator of DeepShadesofBlue.



I figured this was what had happened with the sudden flood of Richins material with an isolate post or two from Gooch. I think Richins bought the domain from Gooch and gave Gooch a fraction of any profit that gets turned in exchange for posting once every other month or so to keep the site's street cred.



Seeing these players grow up and move on from projects like these makes me feel old.

Help me out, what ill-advised post are you talking about? Link?



**Edit, never mind, I found the comments, thanks to Mar's post.

It's a real disappointment, the site has definitely gone down in quality over the last several months, but I believe it probably had begun it's trend before they sold out.

Gooch took a hiatus from posting, and was in phase of self-reflection as to whether to continue with the site given his family and job commitments as well as his growing distance from the program.



Then that silence was shattered by the sudden deluge of Brett Richins web-diaries. I like reading Richins' stuff for the most part, but not as much as Jay Drew's. It's just become another site for me to check in on sporadically.



The former player insight was what made the site awesome. Without that, it's just become another blog for me.

I liked the incoming player articles the best. Was nice to get to know about some of the incoming guys more. Would also like to see some stuff on upperclassmen or team captains--about them personally. Hard to find that stuff.
