Fredette was No. 7 in the nation in scoring at 22.1 points per game last season, when he shot 44.0 percent from 3-point range. He had eight 30-point games, including two games where he scored at least 40. His season-high was 49, against Arizona, a game in which he was 9-of-13 from beyond the arc. He also had 37 in a first-round NCAA tourney victory over Florida.
