BigCougsFanWhen all non-BCS schools play against BCS schools... They all play with a chip on their shoulders.
That's one thing Utah did well, but now that they're "official", that chip will slowly dissapear over time. Every player on Utah's team was brought on, hearing from other BCS schools that they're not good enough. Only a handful of players(if that) could actually start right away on a BCS team.
I give it a couple years, before Utah starts dwindling in dispair, after these current players graduate and move on BUT the incoming recruits won't have that chip and extra motivation.
If my theory were any different, then UCLA, Washington, ASU, Arizona, Notre Dame, Michigan all would be frickin' stellar!
That's why I can't wait for BYU-Utah week! I can only imagine the chip we'll have on our shoulders when we face them.
Not only that... That's why I want the MWC to become a BCS conference and not BYU joining the Big XII. We'll still have that chip, cause everyone will still say we're not good enough, and we don't deserve AQ status.
