So is Expansion Dead for us This Year

I'm guessing that it's not going to happen this year. And if it doesn't happen this year, I'm inclinded to believe it will never happen.

I have to agree. I think the only way we're ever in a BCS conference is for the MWC to secure AQ status.

If it doesn't happen before July 1st it is probably not going to happen. It does not look like it is going to happen. It also looks like the big12 is still relatively unstable.

I don't it was ever LIKELY to happen this year. However, I can see it happening in 2 years or so.

IMO - the Big 12 situation doesn't settle out until next year (when Nebraska and CU officially depart). In the meantime, there's still plenty of time for wrangling amongst the conference officials and school ADs. I say there's no reason to lose hope yet that BYU gets a shot to join the Big 12.

I don't think we're dead just yet but it does look bleak at the moment.

Any word on how the Big XII meetings went/are going?



Has that Chipper dude commented anything in the meetings thus far?
