Who does better, Utah in Pac-0 or BYU in Big 12

Supposing that BYU does get invited into the Big 12, Which football team will do better?

My vote has nothing to do with my bias towards BYU or my hatred of utah. It has to do with the ease of the divisions. The Pac10 is a difficult schedule, whereas the big 12 north does not have the same powerhouses day in and out. utah has talent but imagine having to play ucla, washington, usc, oregon, arizona...... BYU gets teams like Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri..... Just not the same caliber IMO.

I put BYU does better because of the North Division. That being said if BYU does join the BIG I'm not so sure the divisions remain the same. They might decide to more evenly distribute the talent level to provide for better Conference Championship games.

IF the Big 12-2 goes back to the Big 12, I think you'll see a realignment of divisions, with TX and OU in separate divisions - so that there's the possibility of them meeting in the CCG.

Assuming the Y would play in the North Div. - BYU would fare better. I have posted that I think the Yewts have the "starters" to play w/ all the PAC teams except USC. With the NCAA sanctions - USC is hurt - how badly we shall see. The Yewts should benefit. Where the Yewts will have a tough time - I believe - is the weekly pounding they take in the PAC & the lack of a deep bench. I believe the current PAC teams have a deeper, more talented bench to draw from. As the season grinds on - this will hurt the Yewts. We shall see. It will be interesting to watch the drama unfold. I believe that by the end of their 1st season in the PAC, Yewt fans will have a sobering experience. I also believe the Cougs would have a tough time winning the Big 12.

In your scenario, do Texas and Oklahoma still play their rivalry match, meaning the championship is a possible rematch?

That is a great question and I don't know the answer to it. Do they keep the popular red river rivalry or do they go after the potential for a UT/OU Conference championship game?

I can see advantages and disadvantages to both sides.

I agree...except if UW keeps improving and Oregon gets a QB who can stay out of jail, the Utes might hav a touch harder time than BYU in the Big 12 north...

I guess it depends on how the schedule breaks out in a given year. The PAC South doesn't scare me except of course USC should be tough. If the games they draw against the PAC North are ORE, UW, and maybe Stanford it's tougher road for sure.

Of course they do. And they keep it in October, so its not a back/back game with the CCG.
