conference names by the numbers

I've always felt that using a number in a conference name is foolish. With a name like Mountain West or SEC or ACC you don't care how many teams you have as it relates to the name.

The Big 10 has had eleven teams for years--I always wondered if Penn State was bothered by that because they were the eleventh team.

I think the B10 and B12 should just switch names and be done with it.

Conference names with numbers in them are beginning to grow on me.

If Utah leaves for the PAC-12, the Mountain West should change their name to "The Big Three".
