Yeah, that's looking pretty legit this time. I'm still not sure how I feel about it but I expect the people in charge have done their due diligence and have looked at this from every angle. So hang on for the rest of the ride. It could be a wild one.

I wonder what all the BSU fans who were cursing the MWC after the "wait-and-see" was announced on Monday and saying how "never wanted to be part of the MWC" after that "slap in the face" are thinking now?

At least we will get to kick their trash annually now. Look forward to that. They will be like Wyoming in no time. Good very few years, then crap, then a good a few years, then crap. especially if the MWC is able to nab some Big 12 teams as well. I hope we get to 12 or more, soon.

Well, if the conference ends up staying at 10, do ya'll want a round robin or to skip a team each year? I'm in the round-robin camp, even if it means one less non-conference game each year.

This move could be to strengthen our chances of picking up the Big12 scraps. It is not the last move if they are pulling the trigger now.

great, another school to dominate in every sport except for one. I think one of the stipulations should be to get rid of that BS turf they have.

I hope for BSU's sake that the acceptance is only verbal, not signed in blood. would be funny if the Big 12 decides to stay alive and takes BYU, TCU, Utah, and can't take BSU, who end up stuck as the big fish in the small pond yet again!

I agree with this and hope this is the case. If the Big 12 does remain in tact, I wouldn't be surprised to see Utah to the Pac 10. I think the timing of this invite is telling--after Colorado goes to the Pac 10 and before the Big 12 makes an official decision. The MWC is looking to guard against losing Utah and positioning themselves should Kansas and K-state become available.

Did you mean every few years? Either way, very few years may be more correct.

Maybe that's exactly what the MWC has in mind. They know they're going to lose one or more of the big three and brought the broncos over to make sure they still had a strong conference.



It's funny how everything switched. At first there were tons of rumors about the Pac-10 and Big-12 raiding the MWC. Now, there's a lot of talk about the Big-12 being totally dismembered and the MWC could come out an even stronger conference w/ Boise and maybe some Big-12 leftovers.

It's a big "if", but the MWC ends at 10, then play the current 8-team balanced conference schedule, with each team missing one team a year which rotates every year (or maybe two for home-home scheduling purposes). Also, each team is paired with a rival that they will play every year no matter what:



BYU - Utah

Colorado State - Wyoming

Air Force - Boise State

UNLV - San Diego State

TCU - New Mexico
