2 Super conferences hurts Notre Dame?

With the excitement of teams like Texas potentially joining the Pac 10; and Nebraska joining the Big 10.....does Notre Dame recruiting hold the same appeal?



As much as they want to stay independent, if they don't hitch their wagon to the Big 10 do they become even more irrelevant than they've been this last decade?



How do west coast recruits make it past the Pac 10 and MWC now if both conferences are strengthened...



Personally I think the golden calf believes it's untouchable and will ultimately regret keeping the Big 10 at arms length, just like Colorado did to the Pac 10 in 1994,etc. etc. etc.

I think Notre Dame just got flanked and is about to surrender to the Big 10. With the Pac 10 going to 16, the Big 10 will follow the second Notre Dame gives in. Missouri will then be the next domino to the Big 10, along with Rutgers and 1 other school.



Next, the SEC will be forced to make a move, and will add 4 more schools, with smart money on FSU and Miami, along with 2 other ACC schools. The ACC will then raid the Big east, and the Big East will become a hoops conference only, really fast. Basically, we will be left with 4 power conference of 16, and an expanded MWC becoming the 5th "power" conference that can not be denied, if they expand the right way. This includes adding both Kansas schools , Baylor, Boise State, and 1 other.



The landscape is going to be drastically different in 2012. Armageddon. And perhaps the Mayans were right. Dec 21, 2012 is when the CFB world blow ups.
