gmj81After all that has gone on the past days and weeks, I would find absolutely hilarious if the following played out:
In the 11th hour, Notre Dame decides to accept the invitation to the Big Ten, who then kicks Nebraska to the curb, thereby halting the Big Ten expansion at 12.
However, the Big XII South "five" along with CU have already signed their deal with the Pac-10 to become the first mega conference. In time, the old Pac-8 suffers a complete melt down after years of losing to the likes of UT and OU, etc. (much like the old Big XII North) and languishes in mediocrity for decades.
The rest of the Big XII gets millions in transfer fees from the departees and splits the money amongst the new invitees as a "dowry" to help get them "up to speed" in the BCS game. This is of course after the remnants have voted to kick out Missouri helping start this whole mess (near destruction of the Big XII) to begin with and refuse Nebraska re-admittance (as they had already officially withdrew from the conference). BYU, BSU, CSU, Cincy, Houston, TCU, Louisville, and Tulsa or similar list of schools (including BYU but excluding Yewtah) joins KU, KSU, ISU, and Baylor in becoming the new Big XII. Yewtah gets left in the old MWC.
