US beats Australia 3-1 in final WC tuneup

US offense looked pretty good, but the defense let a lot of stuff go through. I think it's great that all 3 goals were scored by players not named Dempsey, Donovan or Altidore (Didn't play).



Finley had one of those games and could easily have scored 2-3 times. One open net shot went wide, one hit the cross bar and a couple others sailed on him. not his day.



Still, here's to hoping we make a game with England!

Findley missed chances, but I thought he had a strong game. It was his pressure on the ball that forced the bad touch that Buddle picked off and then scored the opening tally. He had a few nice passes as well and one that was just a tad too long.



Great point on the scoring and scoring opportunities coming from other players. That's going to be key going forward.



Given the recent injury to England, next week's game could be the first to 3 wins! Only six days until the Cup Opener!!!

Anyone know who's televising that game? Where do I catch it?

All the games will be on ESPN/ESPN2 or ABC. The US/England game will also be on kall700sports as will many games on the radio.
