Here's a nice little number to toss around:

"We here at Playoff PAC agree with Mr. Fishel. The BCS revenue scheme has doled-out $521 million more to the 6 privileged conferences than to the 5 non-privileged conferences over the past few seasons. As Mr. Fishel's chart shows, this $521 million disparity has no basis in on-the-field or marketplace performance. That's what is ultimately so offensive to many coaches, players, and fans--the BCS is fixed."

Surprisingly, it only took me about a couple hours or so. I was bored.

On a serious note, sweet chart. Each day that passes by I wonder more and more how it is the BCS hasn't been abolished yet. What an embarrassment to sports that fans haven't created enough of an outrage yet to put it to an end.

The BCS has now responded to the chart. As expected, they are just pooh-poohing it as being overly simplistic.

Nice read, and valid points. Still, I'm going to revel in the fact that on Monday morning, I'm going to be able to brag to my ACC homer buddies at work that a MWC team has won TWICE as many BCS bowl games as the ACC has in the ENTIRE HISTORY OF THE BCS, and MWC teams have played in 4 BCS bowls total EVER. If THAT'S not embarrasing, I don't know what is.
