Mars" BYU's 2010-11 hoops schedule continues to take shape. The contract for the Cougars' game with Vermont at Glens Falls, NY has been signed by both teams; that game is officially a "go" for Jimmer Fredette's hometown on December 8th.
Look for not one but two games at Energy Solutions Arena this season. Arizona was already scheduled for ESA on December 11th, but due to a scheduling conflict and the unavailability of the Marriott Center, BYU is slated to play Hawaii in Salt Lake City on December 4th. The Warriors were to play at the Marriott Center after BYU visited UH's Sheriff Center last season, but the only available date (December 4th) coincided with the Marriott Center's hosting of "Christmas Around the World." So, BYU agreed to a second game at ESA, in part because the Cougars needed a "home" game to break up a stretch that includes four road games (two at the South Padre Island Invitational, one at Creighton and another in Glens Falls). The Hawaii game would fit between the Creighton and Vermont games.
Only a handful of dates remain to be filled at this point, but one of them might involve the Cougars playing a neutral court game in Las Vegas. ESPN's Andy Katz reported on the possibility that BYU might play Memphis in Vegas. I can further report that if BYU gets in that game, indications are it would take place at the Orleans Arena on New Year's Eve and be televised on ESPN. "

Missouri is one school looking for games but might not want to start on the road. Pastner said he had heard of a possible neutral-site game against BYU or Oklahoma State in Las Vegas. Playing BYU would be a power-rating plus. "
