Iron Man 2

I'm going Thumbs Up. Enjoyable movie. Not great. But just fun and entertaining.

I loved it. True, it wasn't as great as the first, but it was great. I loved the humor in it and the graphics were great.



BTW, stay all the way through the credits, there is a blurb at the end.

So I think it gets a thumbs up. I got to hand it to Mr. Stark though, he is one SMART dude! I mean discovering a new element in one day based upon the layout of a 1950 town is no small feat! And let's hear it for that karate chopping, flying through the air personal assistant (what's her name?)....She'd chop Jackie Chan on the chin any old day....And Mr. Hammer---for those who have seen it...when he introduces the new army, navy, air force and marine guys (and you know what I mean) I wanted to raise my hand and say uh sir, why do they all look and act the same? beats me who was army and who was a marine and BTW didn't he sort of act/look like Brad Pitt in Oceans 11/12/13? Oh well...nothiing great but certainly enjoyable

Good, but definitely not as good as Iron Man 1.



Poor Pepper Potts and her difficulty running Stark Corp. Good thing half the movie was about the exciting difficulties of keeping stocks high for a large business. :roll:



The other half was Tony Stark destroying his house, Tony Stark slowly dying, Tony Stark destroying his house, Tony Stark's strained relationship with his old black military buddy who we've oddly never seen before (or don't recognize for some strange reason), Tony Stark destroying his house, an odd Russian villain whose dialogue and motivations are both very difficult to understand, Tony Stark destroying his house, and a kind-of-gay non-threatening bad-guy who seemed to be reprising his role from Tommy Boy.



Oh, and an exciting super-hero squad that never makes an appearance and that Iron Man doesn't join, and some random Daddy issues. Also, Tony Stark really wrecked his house pretty badly on more than one occasion...





There were some great one-liners though!

The character (James "Rhodey" Rhodes) is the same as in the first movie, but the actor is Don Cheadle instead of Terrence Howard.

Definite thumbs down. It alternated between unrealistic and unnecessary the entire movie. The first one was great. This one was dumb.

I mean this with no disrespect and I didn't love the movie myself, but this has to be the worst movie review I've seen since the comic book collector guy on the Simpsons simply said "worst movie ever."

I enjoyed it, but then again, I paid money to see "In the Name of the King" in the theater too, so I am obviously a sucker.

Saw it over the weekend, enjoyed it. Again, not as good as the first one, but that one caught almost everyone by surprise. In all, it was a solid sequel.

I gave it a thumbs up for two reasons:



1) Audi R8 Spyder - I know it was only on for a few seconds, but that doesn't matter...the car is a masterpiece



2) Scarlett Johansson - no explanation needed

Two thumbs down for me, but Scarlett was a redeeming asset, almost worth the price of admission.

Just saw the movie again and I have to confess: maybe the Academy should have a new

Oscar category for best looking kung fu fighting chick. Scarlett J wouldve won in a landsLlide. Maggie Q wouldve won in Die Hard live free at least as an evil good looking kung fu chick
