A couple of family members have confirmed that BYU junior guard Jimmer Fredette will return to school for his senior season.

Fredette, who led the Cougars in scoring last season, averaging nearly 22 points per game, made the decision official Saturday afternoon.

He had until today to withdraw his name from the NBA Draft, which he did.

Fredette has been close to a lock to return to Provo since he put his name in the draft, but family members say he got mostly positive reviews from NBA teams that brought him in for workouts earlier this week.

Fredette’s return means the Cougars could possibly the start the season in the Associated Press Top 25 rankings.

Yeahhh! Nice thing too is Jimmer seems like the type that will keep working at it, unlike others who recently entered their names, came back and practically digressed. In hindsight it's probably good he got snubbed for MWC POY. He still has something to prove. Keep at it Jimmer. Stay healthy, work on that defense and you'll be a 1st rounder next year.
