What BYU guy goes next?

What do you guys think. Do think any of the other Cougars will get picked?

I don't think Jan gets drafted, and unless everyone and their dog starts drafting second- and third-tier quarterbacks, Max is not getting drafted either. There's 8 or so QBs in front of him right now.



George is a wildcard.

No one. The rest will be free agents.

i think tonga will get picked. I dont think there are 8 QB better than Max in the draft. Just my opinion.

I understand it's your opinion, here's mine: I didn't say there were 8 guys better than him. I said there were 8 guys in front of him on the boards. I think the following all go ahead of Hall:

Hall is more accurate than most of these guys, but that doesn't make him someone the NFL wants to draft. As seen with McCoy falling, the GMs are still hesitant to draft undersized guys with average arms, and I think Hall also has some character issues that lower his stock a bit. A bit too cocky, a bit too angry, lacks a filter when talking with the media---a little bit of Ryan Leaf in him.

I agree with the guys on espn, the reason you see alot of Qb's falling later in the draft, NFL gm' and coaches need to win right now. Throwing a rookie QB in the fire early does not work so well... Too cocky ( disagree 100% on that, talking to the media, i can only remember one incident on that. Having been able to speak with Max hall a couple of time i dont feel any of those things are ture. I did read a good article where the cards really like Max hall, may give him a shot. sure would be pretty sweet for Max

That doesn't explain why Tennessee just picked Rusty Smith out of Florida Atlantic over Max Hall....someone no one has ever heard of. Rusty's stats:

57% comp (Hall = 67%)

14:5 TD Int (Hall = 33:14)

1915 yards (Hall = 3650)



The only stats where Smith has an edge over Hall:



6'4" (Hall = 6')

I think there is still the tendency to look for the "prototypical" NFL type QB with the bigger body and being at least 6'3". Despite all of Max's stats and gamesmanship, most teams will see his physical stature and take a pass on him...

Another stats where Smith has an edge over Hall is the INT's 5 to 14. Max throws a lot of INT's and that can't be intriguing to NFL coaches.

8 quarterbacks have now been drafted since I said at least eight more would be drafted ahead of him. And there are still 3+ guys I think will go ahead of Max, if anymore get drafted.

i dont get why these qb's get taken over max hall. does not make much sense to me. After i read several reports that Max had some great workouts. Maybe he still gets picked.
