Women's BBall is NOT Fundamentally Sound!

You hear this argument all the time when it comes to the women's game and it's simply not true. It's just BAD basketball. THAT'S why guys don't like it. It's not because we're sexist or misogynists. It's because we like to watch GOOD basketball and you simply can't find that in the women's game on a consistent enough level.



The two best teams in women's basketball just played one AWESOME championship game. And by awesome, I mean awesomely bad.



It was 20-12 at the half! UCONN is shooting 19-58 (.328) from the floor, 6-20 (.300) from three, and 6-15 (.400) from the free throw line. Stanford is just as pathetic. 16-65 (.245) from the floor, 7-21 (.333) from three and 3-4 (.750) from the charity stripe.



That's awful. I haven't shot a basketball in a few years, but I was a decent shooter back in HS. I bet I could make 6-15 and 6-20 from three.



The women's game is a slow, uncoordinated, non-fundamental, boring, non-exciting sham of a game.

for the record my stats were pulled with about 50 seconds left in the game.

And that was a poor game too. I did qualify my statement with a "consistent enough level." But I stand by my statement. Women's bball is not nearly as fundamentally sound as it is purported to be. Games like last night are much more frequent in the women's game than in the men's game. It's poor basketball and it's the reason it's not more popular.
