For those of you who don't know what this is... Wes Welker puts out a list of 10 players who are fly under the radar type of players that will reach the NFL as undrafted free agents, just like himself.

Last years list that he put out... He was 70% successful, 7 of the 10 players he chose are still in the NFL. David Nixon of the Raiders linebacker was also on that list.

This year... He picked Andrew George as fifth of the ten players.

George has sparked interest this spring as well, and some compare him favorably to former BYU and Philadelphia Eagles tight end Chad Lewis, who he has trained with this year. George is 6-4, 247 pounds, with good hands and athleticism, and scouts feel he'll grow into a decent blocker.

Or a team could do themselves a favor and draft George. He's a poor mans Todd Heaps.

Are you sure Wes Welker does the list himself? Seems to me it's a list by SI named in honor of Welker, who is a well-known undrafted player who has done well in the NFL.

Good question. I assumed Welker had a part of doing it along with Don Banks of SI.com. Maybe Banks is the sole author and the list is in Welker's honor.

If anyone knows... Holla!

Here's what the list said about David Nixon from last season.

7. David Nixon, LB, BYU -- The ex-Cougar was the Mountain West Conference's all-time leading tackler, and in his 6-3, 233-pound build, NFL talent scouts see the potential for him to fill out quickly and man an outside linebacker position. Nixon gets high marks for his intelligence and ability to master a difficult defense at BYU. He also got great experience in pass coverage, which is rare for college linebackers entering the NFL. A former Mormon missionary and Eagle Scout, he's more mature than most collegiate prospects, and turned heads at his pro day with a 40 time in the low 4.6's.
